Position Overview
Longleaf Pine REALTORS®️, Inc. (LPR) is seeking a visionary and service-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its strategic growth, member service delivery, advocacy engagement, and professional development initiatives. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for aligning the Association’s operations with its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, supporting over 2,400 members, and positioning the Association as a leader in the real estate industry and regional community. The Association’s expectations for this commitment would be a minimum five years.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, principled, and collaborative leader who understands association management, builds relationships across diverse constituencies, and fosters innovation, professionalism, and inclusivity within the REALTOR® community.

Strategic Leadership Responsibilities
1. Member Engagement
Deliver high-value benefits and services to members.
Champion inclusive and accessible networking events and educational opportunities.
Create opportunities for active member engagement & provide support to association members.
Enhance member engagement, satisfaction, and growth.
Oversee delivery of member services, including education, networking, and professional standards enforcement.
Foster meaningful connections and provide ongoing support to members throughout every stage of their careers.
A true open-door policy to members, the CEO should be approachable.
Promotes the mission of LPR by providing leadership, education, technology, and support to its members.
2. Community Impact
Lead charitable and outreach efforts in alignment with the Association’s mission.
Strengthen relationships with military, healthcare, and education communities.
Amplify the REALTOR® brand at the local level.
Serve as a liaison between members, the public, and partner organizations.
Build relationship with community organization; advocate for housing and real estate. professionals; Promote protection of private property rights and sound local policies.
Fully engage with the community; interact with other non-profits, attend government meetings, community events, and festivals; be prominent within the community as the face of the largest trade and professional association which IS the Longleaf Pine REALTORS®.
Drive impactful charitable and outreach efforts that bring the Association’s mission to life.
Create, foster, and strengthen relationships with local government, military, education, healthcare, and residential & construction communities.
3. Professional Standards
Uphold and promote the Code of Ethics.
Support continuing education, designations, and specialty certifications.
Foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Lead efforts to build a culture grounded in excellence and accountability.
Set clear expectations of adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.
4. Advocacy
Support the Government Affairs Director (GAD) in lobbying and community influence.
Advance housing availability, fair housing initiatives, and economic development.
Encourage member investment in RPAC and engagement in advocacy programs.
Support the Association's Local, State and Federal Political Coordinators (LPCs, SPCs, and FPCs) in their advocacy and community efforts.
Support and promote other NC REALTOR® and NAR charitable endeavors, such as NAR’s. REALTOR® Relief Fund (RRF) and NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation.
5. Leadership & Organizational Health
Strengthen Association leadership through staff development and committee collaboration.
Support Board engagement and leadership development initiatives.
Manage staffing capacity and succession planning.
Ensure financial sustainability and transparency.
Empower the Association’s leadership by developing talent and uniting committees through collaboration.
Strengthen Association leadership by providing professional development opportunities for staff and committee collaboration.
Promotes the mission of LPR: providing leadership, education, technology, and support to its members.
Maintains an organized, professional office environment and ensures upkeep of facilities.
Oversees all administrative operations including staff, office equipment, databases, and property.
Foster a healthy, inspirational and effective work environment for LPR Staff.
Operational & Governance Duties
Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors.
Implement strategic directives, monitor metrics, and provide transparent reporting.
Execute all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance as directed by the Board of Directors.
Supervise six direct reports: CFO, MLS Director, Membership Director, Government Affairs Director, and Communications Coordinator.
Represent LPR at local, state, and national REALTOR® events.
Proudly represent LPR at key local, state, and national REALTOR® events as a visible, respected, and engaged leader.
Communicates effectively with the Board, ensuring they are informed on operations, compliance, industry updates. and other items as needed.
Responds professionally to inquiries from members, the public. & media.
Collaborates with Board President, as required, for media inquiries & questions and ensures appropriate messaging on behalf of LPR.
Executes contracts as authorized by the Board of Directors.
Ensures the Association operates within all applicable local, state, and federal laws and REALTOR® association policies.
Prepares and submits NAR compliance documentation as required.
Acts as official LPR Representative at local, state, and national REALTOR(R) events.
Support the Board President and MLS Director with timely reporting and meeting materials + Participate in policy development and bylaw updates with LPR leadership.
Provide monthly reports, updates, and analysis to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of prior, paid, nonprofit leadership experience or REALTOR® association leadership.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience.
Strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and advocacy.
Familiarity with the Real Estate Industry strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and management of change skills.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Knowledge of association governance, financial management, and program development.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and membership management software.
Ability to work independently and under pressure, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethics.
Willingness to travel to state and national events as required.
Ability to align day-to-day operations with LPR long-term vision/Strategic Plan.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Adept at member engagement and public speaking.
Obtain REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) status within 2 years.
Work Environment
In-office role based in Fayetteville, NC.
Community engagement and visibility required.
Reports to: President and Board of Directors.
Oversees: 5 Direct Reports | Total Staff: 7 | Board Members: 14.
Must be available during regular business hours and for evening/weekend events on ad hoc basis.
Perform some light physical responsibilities related to event setup and office upkeep.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary of $140,000 - $170,000. LPR additionally offers a robust benefits package, including health insurance and a variety of other benefits. Relocation assistance is available, as the applicant must reside close enough to be on site/in person at the LPR office in Fayetteville, NC to carry out the duties of the organization.
