Founded in 1912, Bluegrass REALTORS®, one of Kentucky’s largest and most influential local REALTOR® associations, representing more than 4,000 members across 38 counties in Central and Southern Kentucky, seeks a visionary, collaborative, and strategically minded Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into its next chapter of influence and growth.
The organization serves professionals from all sectors of the real estate industry, including residential and commercial brokerage, development, appraisal, property management, and related services.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The CEO serves as Chief Executive Officer of Bluegrass REALTORS®, Imagine MLS, and the REALTORS® Community Housing Foundation (RCHF). The primary function of the CEO is to execute the strategic plans of each organization in alignment with approved budgets while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture among staff, volunteer leaders, members, industry partners, and stakeholders. The CEO serves as the chief relationship builder, strategic partner, and organizational leader, ensuring that all programs, products, and services are developed and delivered through teamwork, shared accountability, and alignment with the organization's mission and strategic priorities.
The CEO is responsible for the creation and delivery of all programs, products, and services. They are responsible for all matters concerning employees, contractors, and vendors. They are responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organization as well as the development of processes and record retention. They shall safeguard all corporate assets and property, always operate within approved policy, and cultivate strong partnerships that advance the interests of Bluegrass REALTORS® and its members.

The Chief Executive Officer occupies one of the most influential leadership positions in Kentucky real estate. Reporting to an engaged volunteer leadership team and guiding a professional staff, the CEO is responsible for advancing the Association’s strategic vision, strengthening member value, fostering industry partnerships, and ensuring organizational excellence. Through collaboration with state and national REALTOR® organizations, government leaders, and industry stakeholders, the CEO helps shape policies that promote homeownership, protect private property rights, and support the long-term success of the real estate profession.

Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years senior executive leadership experience, preferably within a trade association, nonprofit, or similarly complex member-based organization.
Demonstrated success working with boards and volunteer governance structures.
Proven experience in legislative advocacy, public policy, or government relations strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or RCE or CAE designation desirable.
Resides close enough to be on site/in person at the Bluegrass REALTORS® office in Lexington, Kentucky to carry out the duties of the organization. Relocation assistance is available.
Compensation
Base Salary Range of $240,000 - $270,000. Bluegrass REALTORS® additionally offers a robust benefits package, including health insurance and a variety of other benefits.
